Cannot install due to “S-mode”
Windows 10 and Windows 11 support a process that will only allow a user to download programs from the Microsoft Store. To allow you to install and run programs downloaded from other web sites outside of the store. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307 for details on how to turn off “s-mode.”
We first encountered an error with installing our payACH product from a download from our web site. Once we turned off s-mode, we encountered the following error: “c:\windows\system32\ss32x25.ocx is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000000d.” The title of the box states “Visual Basic 6.0 Setup Toolkit: Setup1.exe – Bad Image”
